Sceptre U550CV-U vs Samsung 55NU7300

The Sceptre U550CV-U vs Samsung 55NU7300 checking shows that despite different production years (2016 versus 2018), these models can boast with many features. The first device belongs to the 0CV series, which has a great resolution (2160p) and 4 HDMI plugs. The second device is more expensive and is a part of a NU7300 series that has amazingly slim design and lots of available streaming services.

Picture

The 55NU7300 is especially good when showing the high-bitrate HDR content like from a UHD Blu-Ray; another model doesn’t have an HDR at all. When the sunlight is coming to the room, the Sceptre’s screen reflects it when there is a dark scene. The Samsung’s unit doesn’t have such a peculiarity and black stays black even in a room, filled with light. The U550CV-U has a very strange yellow color displaying; moreover, all the colors are not 100 percent accurate. The 55NU7300 has great natural colors and shades.

Features & Performance

It’s very exciting to compare the Samsung 55NU7300 vs Sceptre U550CV-U because the second model surprises me with the 3D feature presence, while the first one doesn’t have it at all. Despite the same speaker’s power (20W), the Sceptre seems louder while epic movies performing and listening to the rock music. The 55NU7300’s volume decreases regardless of user actions. Samsung has a much faster processor, so the tasks are performed without problems. It’s a little bit harder to use the Sceptre since all the menus switching needs 6 seconds of waiting.

Design & Build quality

The Sceptre U550CV-U has a classic flat screen with stable legs and solid appearance. Everything is made without aesthetic problems, creaks, and scratches. The Samsung 55NU7300 has a curved screen that is great for a big room. The classic strict black design looks great on both models. Samsung also has a high-quality assembly.
