We decided to compare two popular products in the TVs market — Hisense 65H9D plus vs TCL 65R617. The first alternative ( series H9) was created in 2017, while its competitor (series R6) was released the next year. Fortunately, the price of these TVs is relatively similar and customers admit that it’s the mid-range television.
To be honest, it’s hard to compare the picture quality of modern TVs. They are very similar: both of them provide Full HD and even 4k picture quality. Unfortunately, we cannot enjoy watching 3D movies but they are still great. Colors are bright enough and it’s a real pleasure to play games with the help of these TVs.
During writing this TCL 65R617 vs Hisense 65H9D plus review, we cannot ignore additional features, which were added by manufacturers of these products. For example, TCL has a great menu design and remote controller. You can forget about numerous buttons, which can make you mad. There are only ten colorful buttons, which are intuitively simple. As for Hisense, we would like to admit that all popular streaming services such as Hulu, Amazon video, Netflix and HBO work really great. Unfortunately, both of these TVs are not compatible with Alexa but they have special mobile applications, which you can use as remote controllers. It’s really comfortable!
Even despite the fact that both of these products look good enough, we are not sure that the developers of Hisense did everything possible to make the back panel stylish. It looks like somebody forgot to attach the protective panel and all details are not hidden. However, we usually don’t see the back panel of our TVs, that’s why it is not really important.
The quality of materials of Hisense confuses us because this plastic smells strange. On the other hand, if we compare Hisense versus TCL, we should admit that the stands of Hisense look more stable.
