Both devices have great colors, but the Samsung 55NU8000 has oversaturated colors in the default factory settings. I can change them manually; however, the 55NU7100 doesn’t have such problems at all. The picture from the box is clear and natural. These TVs show good performance and crisp picture even while Xbox playing. I can truly enjoy the high frame rate flicker free in a game world.

Features & Performance

The Samsung 55NU8000 vs 55NU7100 sound and specs comparison explains to me the reason that the first device’s sound is much louder than the second’s one. The 55NU8000 has greater speakers power (40W versus 20W). The firmware updating also influences differently on TVs. It is hard to watch some Hulu shows on 55NU7100 because some characters leave unnatural shade trains and that is definitely abnormal. The 55NU8000 correctly reflects the image but renewal leads to slower performance.

Design & Build quality

In order to compare Samsung 55NU7100 and 55NU8000 designs, I put them side by side. I see that the first model has classic and stable legs, great black frame, and credible assembly quality. The second one’s appearance contains the black and grey combination that looks very modern. The stand is very wide and can provide the TV with reliable support. The build quality is great, but the 55NU8000 produce clicking after a long working day. It may be caused by the heat expansion of the back cover. The 55NU7100 doesn’t have such issue.

Samsung 55NU7100 Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Due to the memory plugging into the USB, I can set up the TV for timed recordings.
  • The sleep timer works seamlessly. This feature has lots of time intervals.

Cons:

  • All the objects on the screen are moving jerky. I have to come back to default settings and fix the problem manually.
  • The TV may turn on involuntarily late at night.

Samsung 55NU8000 Pros & Cons Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • It has very thin borders (0.35"), so the TV looks very modern and compact.
  • 2 USB and 4 HDMI ports are enough for various devices adding.

Cons:

  • The viewing angle is poor because the colors become different when viewing even slightly off center.
  • The ads in almost all the apps are very irritating.
