Review of 4k entry-level TVs: LG 43UK6300 vs LG 43UJ6300

LG 43UK6300 vs LG 43UJ6300

I managed to get two budget models of 4K TVs from series UK6300 (2018) and UJ630 (2017) respectively. In my review of the LG 43UK6300 vs LG 43UJ6300, I would like to compare these models in their ability to work with high-resolution video and the color reproduction during video playback.

Picture

The LG 43UK6300 TV has a good picture quality thanks to 4K resolution. The most important feature of the TV display is 4K Active HDR technology, which provides a realistic image, displaying bright and vivid colors. The display has IPS technology, which has wide viewing angles.

If you compare the LG 43UK6300 vs 43UJ6300, you can see that the LG 43UJ6300 has an average picture quality. If the model is placed in a poorly lit room, then due to the low contrast ratio and poor black uniformity, the UJ6300 will disappoint with dark scenes, and the black tones tend to look gray.

Features and Performances

TVs are equipped with a WebOS with support for many applications and streaming services.

In my LG 43UJ6300 vs 43UK6300 review, I should notice that only the LG 43UK6300 has a ThinQ function. The ThinQ is an artificial intelligence function from LG, which facilitates interaction with the TV, such as the work of sharing the screen of the TV and your smartphone through the IoT function.

Design & Build quality

The design of the LG 43UK6300 is a very simple, the whole one-piece body is made of plastic. There are no pronounced stylistic elements. The frames of the TV are slightly thicker than average and made of plastic.

The LG UF630V casing is made of a plain plastic. There are no stylistic elements in the design. In my comparison LG 43UJ6300 vs LG 43UK6300, both TVs have the "frameless" screen which occupies 89% of the front panel.

LG 43UK6300 Pros & Cons

PROS:

  • The sound is quite loud and clear but depends on the quality of the content.
  • HDR works well with high definition content.

CONS:

  • This entry-level model has no local dimming.

LG 43UJ6300 Pros & Cons

PROS:

  • The blur of the dynamic image is low, the response time of the pixel is low, for this price category it is normal.
  • A low input signal delay of 12 ms.

CONS:

  • Rear location of some connectors. If you install the TV on the wall, then access to them may be difficult.
  • A low contrast reproduces dark scenes blurry, black tones are gray.
  • An illumination flickers, unfortunately, there is no way to reduce this frequency.
