Picking the Most Vivid Picture: Samsung 43NU7100 vs LG 43UK6300

Samsung 43NU7100 vs LG 43UK6300

These two new-gen LED TVs refer to the same “middle class” category, powered by the Quad-core processor.

The series NU7100 features the basic 4K benefits (such as sharp contrast and buoyant colors) while lacking some bells and whistles like Watch and Record option. The UK6300 boasts the perfect view from any watching point; however, it lacks the desired full 4K sharpness for the smaller objects and lines.

Estimating the Picture

The VA technology of Samsung 43NU100 provides amazing contrast with expressive blacks and rich tones. The Edge Led technology does allow decent watching from aside; still, sitting in front of the TV provides the full 4K effect. The colors are bright, and the gamut corresponds with the HDR standard. LG 43UJ6300 features an IPS matrix, which is less impressive with regard to contrast and color diversity; yet, provides for the perfect smooth motion. The picture is adjusted within nanoseconds, and any viewpoint provides the same good quality.

Features & Performance Comparison

Having a lot of Apple devices, I was pleased with the Samsung 43NU100 ability to read and play MOV files and even the FLAC ones (for audio). It must be noted, though, that for the complete experience the sound must be amplified through a receiver or a sound bar. The almost not noticeable input lag allows using it with a gaming console and a PC. With LG 43UK6300, I had to ramble through the settings to turn off the energy saving mode. The TV takes more power in the standard mode, but the picture is much better to compare! It gains more sharpness and vividness. Meanwhile, even in a standard operation mode, LG 43UK6300 consumes less energy than Samsung 43NU7100.

Build Quality and Design Peculiarities

Comparing LG 43UK6300 vs Samsung 43NU7100, I have to say that the former is larger in width, height, and depth, yet weighs less. Meanwhile, Samsung 43NU7100 display area takes the most of its front surface, and LG 43UK6300 has a distinctive frame. Both models have plastic legs.
