The test LG 49UJ6500 vs 49UJ6300 deals with the two budget LG’s models of UJ6500 and UJ6300 series respectively that hit the market in 2017. They have the same price and screen size, display type, and resolution. There is no difference even between their dimensions.

LG 49UJ6300 has Picture in Picture mode to see various content on the same screen that is very convenient to compare and analyze information. The TVs come with a standard remote, but LG 49UJ6300 is not magic-remote compatible versus LG 49UJ6300 (however, the magic remote is not in the box). LG 49UJ6500 has one more HDMI input for connections (Blu-ray, projector, etc), but both TVs have the same number of USB ports.

The units have identical speakers with the Ultra Surround tech. However, this system is basic to deliver just a decent sound that can be improved with a soundbar.

LG 49UJ6300 and 49UJ6500 are flat TVs, but 49UJ6500 is a bit thinner. Both TVs are made of plastic, however, 49UJ6500 has a nice but not very practical glossy finish (too many fingerprints are left). Both TVs borders are thicker than average. Their stands are wide, but 49UJ6500’s stand supports the TV with a little movement.
