The Pioneer VSX-LX503 vs SC-LX502 total output power shows that the VSX-LX503 is for people who need more power – compare its 1090 W with 560 W that the SC-LX502 can output. The VSX-LX503 supports the 9.2 channel setup, while the SC-LX502 supports the 7.2 setups. Both models feature the Phase control technology to avoid the phase lag between the main channel and the subwoofer. Another common feature is the Reflex Optimizer. These receivers have the Chromecast built-in technology, but the VSX-LX503 also supports the Google Assistant feature. The VSX-LX503 supports Sonos.

Connections & Setup

These receivers have Wi-FI and Bluetooth modules. Both models support DTS Play-Fi and various streaming services.

    • Improved technologies create bigger problems: it is really difficult to “center” the sound and change settings according to your particular room.
    • Big remote control is uncomfortable to keep in one hand.
