The Denon AVRS940H is a receiver with amazing sound quality and 4K HDR compatible video switching. The produced sound is detailed, with good dynamic range performance. The AVRS940H an affordable receiver with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X. It comes with seven amplified channels (90W each) with a Zone 2 support. The sound is clear and rich and holds the bass at a high-level quality.

The Denon AVRX1500 has a less powerful amplifier versus the AVRX1500, with 80W per channel. The receiver is powerful and plenty loud. The sound is clear and dynamic, and the front and surround speakers produced a cohesive, room-filling soundstage. The HDMI's are supported for eARC and HDR10 which gives excellent 4K processing.

Connections & Setup

Design

  • The menu is limited as far as information goes. No descriptions of settings.
  • The app just stops working or doesn't connect to the receiver, and the only way to get it to connect again is to unplug the receiver
