Read MoreOnkyo TX-NR676 vs Onkyo TX-NR757 is quite a challenging topic as both receivers are wonderful in performance, very reliable and simple in use. So, how to make the right choice?

Audio formats recognition. Onkyo TX-NR676 is a winner compare to Onkyo TX-NR757 that won’t let you listen to any audio in AIFF format. If you have nothing to listen to in AIFF that’s may not be a problem, however, I would advise choosing Onkyo TX-NR676 when doing Onkyo TX-NR757 vs Onkyo TX-NR676 comparison based on this criteria as you never know what you may need in the future.
Sound power. Here Onkyo TX-NR757 would be the best one as it is way ahead versus Onkyo TX-NR676. Onkyo TX-NR757 has an output peak power of 180W per channel! Onkyo TX-NR676 has output power per channel of 100W, however operational power consumption of this models is on 40W less than one of TX-NR757.

It has an analog to HDMI upconversion, 3D pass-through, and upscaling via HDMI up to 4K. An ideal choice for someone who wants quick and qualitative signal processing.
This is the model that seems perfect. Total harmonic distortion of a just 0.08 %, ability to connect devices wirelessly and A-B speaker switch make it worth looking at. I especially like Theater-Dimensional Virtual Surround sound that can be really felt when I stand on the floor!
Onkyo TX-NR757 become my favorite one not just because of 3D pass-through feature and not for the dual zone capability. I truly believe that this is the receiver that I will be able to use for a long time due to its amplifier features that I find the most important in receivers. Analog to HDMI upconversion, 0.08 % harmonic distortion and high output power per channel make this receiver one of the best Onkyo’s I had so far.
