The dynamic range adjustment for low volume playback is great without any booming bass that would annoy the neighbors.

Marantz SR5013 uses Audyssey MultEQ XT32 calibration and it is compatible with the Audyssey app to customize the surround setups. Its HEOS integration allows making the proper setups in any space.

Design

When I decided to compare the AVs’ design, with one look, I saw some essential differences. Yamaha RX-V685BL has only volume control on the front panel and Marantz SR5013 has both volume and input selectors. However, Marantz SR5013 has no mic there. Besides, its display is small and round versus Yamaha RX-V685BL’s traditional rectangle large screen. Marantz SR5013 is available in black and silver.
