Denon AVR-X2500W uses Audyssey MultEQ XT for calibration versus Denon AVR-X2300W’s MCACC Pro. AVR-X2500W’s EQ flavor is typical for entry-level devices and does a bit enhancing. However, it is compatible with MultEQ Editor App to make extra improvements. Denon AVR-X2300W’s MCACC Pro is an advanced version to make phase control of each speaker and to provide perfect speakers and sub EQ. Denon AVR-X2500W delivers voice control through its Alexa Voice compatibility.

Both devices have 8 HDMI inputs and 2 outputs but Denon AVR-X2500W got 8 AV inputs versus Denon AVR-X2300W’s 2 ones to connect more equipment that is legacy. It has an analog phono input for those who enjoy their vinyl collection.

Design

Denon AVRX2500 is neat and robust with two large silver buttons and a strip of control keys. The headphone jack is situated on the front panel, as well as set-up mic on the left, USB port, and HDMI inputs on the right. It is much lighter and smaller than Denon AVR-X2300W is though their height is the same. AVR-X2300W has the same buttons on the front panel, but its large dials are black and look average. The set-up mic is on the right next to USB port.
