Denon AVRX1400H vs Onkyo TX-NR676 – decent receivers at equal price

Denon AVRX1400H vs Onkyo TX-NR676

Denon AVRX1400H — perfect receiver for perfect sound

Recently I’ve had a chance to test Denon in practice. It was an ordeal to install it because interface was complicated. I should have looked up online how to connect it with a 4K TV with HDR because it did not pass a signal through. Note that you have to unlock this function on the receiver.

But it was worthy of it! I can firmly claim that its sound is perfect, clear, and massively loud because I have not turned the volume up to 100%.

Onkyo TX-NR676 — unique receiver at an affordable price

5 days ago I checked up a perfectly packed Onkyo TX-NR676. So far, I can say that it has better sound quality than the previous one. In general, installation went without problems, diagrams lightened the process.

Results of Denon AVRX1400H vs Onkyo TX-NR676 detailed examination

If you face the question which one to choose, Denon AVRX1400H or Onkyo TX-NR676, you can rely on my own receiver comparison because I have tested both.

Denon can be upscaling via HDMI and is smaller. Meanwhile, Onkyo is more powerful (700 versus 560 W) and has more HDMI inputs/outputs (7/2) in comparison to Denon (6/1).

The main disadvantage, which is not shown in a comparison chart, is Denon’s complicated instruction and interface. However, Onkyo has rare HDMI 2.1 cable.

Other differences Onkyo TX-NR676 vs Denon AVRX1400H are not so significant.

Finally, if you are in two minds, Onkyo TX-NR676 or Denon AVRX1400H, choose Onkyo if you need a powerful receiver, but be ready for searching for a necessary cable or pick Denon, which works with HDMI, but you will wreck your brain how to install it.
