The audio reproduction with the Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A1080is frankly unbelievably good. The different listening modes for music are easy to flip through. The receiver does such a good job distributing the sound that it seems clearer and generally more pleasing to the ear.
The Yamaha AV Controller app works great with Yamaha RX-V685BL and allows you to change all of the options from your phone. There are a bunch of pre-set audio profiles to choose from under the DSP tab. You can also choose from regular Dolby Surround or 7.2 Stereo. 4K support is very good, and there aren't any lipsync issues.
