Klipsch R-115SW vs Klipsch R-112SW comparison chart

Klipsch R-115SW vs Klipsch R-112SW

Two well-known subwoofer models noteworthy for people eager to find the best sounding device. When we talking about R-115SW versus R-112SW, for sure the second one doesn't reach as deep into the bass as the first sub, which is the point of having it. It is spotless all the way down and quite remarkable for the price. Of course, there may be a cost reason, but I would recommend to spend an extra $200 for clean sound rather than buying a cheaper version of Klipsch.

But if the price is in the first place for you, R-112SW is also a great choice. Compare it with other flagmen, and you'll see it well worth it. Let’s see other aspects in Klipsch R-112SW vs Klipsch R-115SW rival.

Klipsch R-115SW vs Klipsch R-112SW back

Whether you are going to use R-115SW in 20' X 30' room with 11' vaulted ceilings it can fill the entire room with a very strong base. Any room with a similar or larger size should do fine. But this can't be said about R-112SW. When testing it in a similar room, you’ll probably won’t notice even nearly such an effect of shaking walls. Still, there is a massive difference in sound and feel. This one blends in perfectly. It adds in the thumping and room shaking without sounding too boomy for the lack of a better word. It reaches down pretty low. It doesn't hit as hard as a good 15" of course. At the same time, though I don't feel the need to constantly adjust it when you change the type of audio your playing.

Design

The only issue you may run into is the size factor of Klipsch R-115SW - this subwoofer is ridiculously huge! Looking at the R-112SW size compared to his bigger brother, I could give a vote to a smaller one. When we talk about subwoofers, there is no replacement for displacement - bigger is usually better.

Klipsch R-115SW pros & cons

Pros

  • The packaging was good and the speaker arrived in perfect condition.
  • Sounds good while turned low too.

Cons

  • The thing I'd consider for improvement would be to have two of these suckers for even vibrations.

Klipsch R-112SW pros & cons

Pros

  • The R-112SW replaces a high-quality 250-watt sub, but the 112 is much stronger. Great value at this price point.
  • The front porting and the extra 50% more amplifier power really make this sub the better pick if you're shopping the Klipsch Reference Subwoofer line.

Cons

  • You've got to consider room size, and placement, as well as that, can make all the difference.
