Klipsch R-112SW is a state of art subwoofer meant to cover large areas. It has a lot of futuristic features and perks to play with. Its younger brother R-10SW is much smaller and lighter, it is somewhat boring. Although when talking about Klipsch R-10SW vs Klipsch R-112SW the smaller woofer also has its advantage. It is more affordable and easy to adjust, more compact. The R-112SW weights twice as much.
The main difference in Klipsch R-10SW vs R-112SW characteristics is that R-112SW is 600 watts while R-10 SW is 300 watts. The woofers are also different in diameter, R-112SW is 12 inch versus R-10 SW is 10 inch. Although both are made by Klipsch and are of excellent quality and definitely deliver on the promise. Additionally, both of these woofers have a low pass crossover and phase control technology meaning they can be aligned with all Klipsch products to deliver the perfect amount of bass.
Both are beautiful cerametalic woofers enclosed in minimalistic matte black polymer veneer boxes. You cannot compare these two woofer brothers are equally classy and tasteful.
