An Eye Candy: Sony HT-CT800

Sony HT-CT800 review & specs

This model has been released back in 2017 and remains modern till this day. All the connectivity options, features, and design make it pretty timeless. If you want a sound bar that comes with a subwoofer plus a set of cables and mobile alignment options look no further.

A very humble price of $350 is another reason to consider this sound bar seriously. An extremely high consumer rating also means that you do get a great value for money. I do stand behind every word I say and you can easily see this home cinema soundbar among the best sellers.

Design

Both pieces have a matte black plastic finish that looks very expensive. The sub is just a black matte box that will fit anywhere. And the soundbar is built to be super sleek for mounting it right under your TV.

The soundbar comes with a wall mounting set, a bracket, and a template. Or you can place it on your TV stand. The placement of the set will not affect the quality of the sound. In spite of all the streaming and alignment options, the system also comes with a remote. It is included as a part of the package.

This 43-inches soundbar weighs about 30 pounds together with a subwoofer. Keep that in mind when looking for the best place for your cordless cinema.

Features

This soundbar works with Google Home as well as Chromecast. This streaming app is much faster and more efficient than regular Bluetooth streaming. A huge plus of such great Sony HT-CT800 specs you get the wireless multiroom streaming option. You are free to add as many speakers into your sound system as you want to.

For users that love to play with various audio decoders, you have Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD Master Audio. These features provide you with a modern multidimensional sound. So you get to hear all the soundtracks and background noise just as they were composed. Add more SONY cable free tweeters to create a home cinema of your own.

The HDMI inputs for modern TVs are available. Plus you also have the 4K HDR wireless capability for the latest Smart TV models. Besides that you also have the Analog, Optical and USB inputs foreseen.

Spotify Connect feature is also available meaning that you can stream directly from the Spotify app. That one works without a hiccup. All these small things and features made writing my Sony HT-CT800 review so much fun.
