Vankyo V600 Review: Full HD Quality For A Modest Price

Vankyo V600

With the price under $300, the Vankyo Performance V600 Native 1080p is the best deal for those who appreciate HD quality, good color accuracy, and superior 4500 lm brightness. With lots of ports, it can be connected to different devices. It can project high-quality images onto a large 300-inch screen, which is enough to create the effect of presence.

Design

The Vankyo Performance V600 Native 1080p LED Projector is silver in color. Its dimensions are 4.1 x 12.1 x 9.1 inches and the weight is 5.7 pounds.

The lense with a cap is on the front side. The control panel has convenient navigation buttons: “Left,” “Right,” “Down,” “Up,” “Play/Pause,” “Input,” “Menu On/Off.” Inputs and connectors are on the back panel. The wheel on the top side helps adjust images.

Features

The LCD projection system ensures high color saturation and image sharpness.

Equipped with 2 HDMI ports, VGA input, input RCA, audio output 3.5mm, and 2 USB ports, the Vankyo V600 is compatible with various gadgets. Use it in pair with your smartphone, laptop, TV-set, Xbox, or insert a USB drive. Apart from a power cable, it is delivered with the AV and HDMI cables.

With HD parameters 1920 x 1080, it reflects more than 1 billion colors. Its pixel number is 2304000, which is enough to ensure detailed images.

Its 5W 4-Ohm speaker ensures good sound quality.

Vertical keystoning helps align the video within 15 degrees if you cannot place the device exactly 90 degrees to the wall or the display.

Vankyo promises that the lamp is enough for 10 years, in case you use it for 120 minutes per day.

The zoom is from 100% down to 75%.

One can place the device on a table or ceiling, as well as choose a front or rear installation.

Using simple and understandable buttons of the remote, you can control your presentation or movie. The IR receiver easily catches its signal.

Performance

The best thing about the Vankyo Performance V600 is its impressive color reproduction. The images are sharp even in daylight due to 4500 lumens and a contrast ratio of 5000:1.

It perfectly projects video at the distance 5.5 – 30.2 feet and retains image quality even for its maximum 300 inches screen. While watching the movie in the daytime, I noticed intense deep colors. In my Vankyo V600 review, I want to point out that the projector has a low fan noise, so I heard no annoying sounds.

The only shortcoming I mention in my Vankyo Performance V600 review is about a mono sound system. Its speaker is pretty loud, yet I lacked surround sound and had to connect my own sound system.
