Receivers that will become hits: Denon AVRX1500 vs Denon AVRX1400H

Denon AVRX1500 vs Denon AVRX1400H

I decided to make the Denon AVRX1500 vs Denon AVRX1400H review in order to compare abilities of the sound playback and a work with a high-quality video of these receivers

Features & Performance

Denon AVR-X1400 is designed to work in a classic home theater system with one video signal receiver. It produces a clear dynamic pattern, slightly lightening the tonal picture. If the 1–4 kHz band is slightly weakened by an equalizer, a sensation of increased information content will appear at both the highest frequencies and the main vocal band.

Denon AVRX1500 sounds in stereo mode softly, penetratingly in comparison with AVRX1400H. I managed to get a clear, dynamic sound, the output power makes it possible to use practically any loudspeakers on the front, regardless of their impedance.

Connections & Setup

Denon AVR-X1400 has a built-in Audyssey Room Correction that helps to tune receiver for user purposes. The setting is not consuming the drive and adjusts the sound of the auditor to the size of the room, taking into account the position of the speakers.

Comparing Denon AVRX1500 vs AVRX1400H, it should be noted that the AVRX1500 manual settings have ample opportunities and allow you to specify not only different multi-channel configurations and to vary widely the filter settings for each speaker, accurately set the distances and correction.

Design

Receivers have a similar appearance. The black metal case and the front panels are made in the classic Denon style, but comparing the Denon AVRX1400H and AVRX1500, it must be said that the AVRX1400H has a glossy frame around the central panel. They are equipped with 2 rotary knobs of different diameters (the left one is responsible for selecting the source, the right one, larger, allows to adjust the volume). The upper half of the panel is occupied by a display. At the bottom, there is an HDMI input, capable, a USB port for connecting not only a flash card but also an HDD drive.
