The Numark PT01USB review was a lot of fun to write. This model has been released all the way back in 2004. It is still relevant, thought after and mass produced. And it does mean a lot to me in spite of humble reviews.
Although affordable this little player comes with a stylish design and minimalistic matte black finish. But fear not it still looks pretty nostalgic. All inputs are located on the back panel. When it is closed and the dust cover is on the device itself reminds you of a little black box.
The volume and the RPM controls look very old school and feel the same when you try to turn them. They are located right on top of the front panel. The device weighs only 4.5 pounds. The size is only 12x12x3.8 inches. Very convenient to travel with.
This platter player arrives together with an AC adapter, USB cable, and an RPM adapter. The cartridge is also included. The setup will take you about 5 minutes and you are good to play your favorite LPs.
You also have the free EZ Vinyl Converter program for your MAC or PC. The installation also tooks only a few minutes and the intuitive menu was really easy to handle. Just plug in the USB cable and start recording.
For a humble price of about $100, you get to enjoy a portable vinyl player plus built-in speakers. The phono preamp is of course built-in as well. The dust cover is also available. You have a USB output as well as RCA and AUX.
Moving magnet cartridge type together with a diamond tip stylus. The small turntable allows you to convert all types of platters into media files on your PC or MAC. The playback speed options are also amazing. You have 33.3, 45 and 78 RPMs. The motor itself is driven by the belt.
I loved the affordability and versatility. I would even recommend buying this little baby as a friend to your full-size vinyl player or using it as your primary turntable. Numark PT01USB specs allow you to play regular 12-inch LPs as well as 78 and 45 RP Vinyls.
Added AC adapter allows you to plug it into the socket as well as use it with the 6 D cell batteries. Really cool for all your friends and family to enjoy. I would recommend running it with some proper tweeters though.
