The LG 55UJ6300 review deals with the unit from the UJ630 series (2017) that includes UHD 4K TVs. They are based on webOS 3.5 with a full suite of most modern apps and they have IPS panels with great viewing angle. So, this 55-inch model can be mounted in a large room for watching videos from multiple viewing positions. However, some straight lines sometimes make the TV lose its sharpness because of the RGBW pixel structure.
This TV features good brightness and a realistic picture. However, black uniformity isn’t perfect that’s why it’s better to install this model in a well-lit room to get the picture with the enhanced contrast. The TV’s gray uniformity is seamless and the dynamic scenes are largely satisfactory. It handles black background glare well.
The resolution corresponds to the Ultra HD standard that’s why it’s easy to see the finest details of the scene. Speaking about the LG 55UJ6300 specs, the 4K upscaler should be mentioned since it processes the picture in real time bringing it close to true 4K.
This is a Wi-Fi enabled model (including the newest 802.11/ac standard). The unit has 3 HDMI ports, quite enough to hook up several devices simultaneously and enjoy 4K content since RCA connections don’t suit that purpose.
The TV also has two USB ports. When a USB storage device is connected to the TV, a random file folder can be created. There’s no headphone jack, but it’s possible to use RCA plugs connected to headphones with adapters.
The LG 55UJ6300 TV has a plain minimalistic design. It’s flat and it comes in a plastic cabinet with plastic legs that are not adjustable and fixed to the back of the unit. They have a wide footprint, but if the legs are too wide to fit the surface where the TV stands, it’s possible to buy a narrower VESA mount stand. Technically, the unit can be wall-mounted, but this model is rather thick and has some ports on the back panel. That’s why it’s easier to handle the TV if it’s placed on the stand. The built-in speakers are on the bottom of the unit and they are facing downwards.
