Pioneer VSX-932: Too Good To Be True

Pioneer VSX-932

Pioneer has come up with an affordable AV speaker to beat all speakers. We usually expect affordable options to be as simple as possible but this Japanese brand turned out to be extremely generous.

It would be impossible to find a bad Pioneer VSX-932 review because it is good. Read on to find out why everyone loves it so much. After all 4 and a half out of 5 stars is a pretty good rating.

Design

The design is pretty common for the AV receivers. Pioneer VSX-932 has a black metallic finish with black metallic round buttons. The display is also solid black with white fluorescent letters. The front panel is symmetrical with buttons organized on both sides of the display.

Features

Pioneer VSX-932 is quite powerful taking 480 W operational power and 0.1 W standby power. The total output power is 560 W and the output power per channel is 80 W.

The AV receiver recognizes all audio formats, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, Apple Lossless, DSD and FLAC. That means you can run any audio files. The dual zone capability is featured. Timer and clock features are also available.

Performance

Enjoy the 100dB signal to noise ratio. And the total harmonic distortion is the amazing 0.08%. Are you amazed? Because I am. The total number of channels is 7 with 6-8 Ohm output impedance per channel.

Sound Quality

You get to enjoy the three-dimension virtual surround sound technology, which is quite cool for the price point. The 7.2 channel surround system class is also pretty cool.

Other amazing Pioneer VSX-932 features are DTS:X, DTS neural: X, DTS HD master audio together with Dolby Atmos, Dolby True HD and Dolby Digital Plus. So you can play with all these effects and vow your friends and family.

Connectivity

You have Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirPlay connection options. IEEE and IEEE are also foreseen. That is pretty cool for a basic model. Plus you get to enjoy music services like Pandora, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Music etc.

There are 6 AV inputs, 6 HDMI inputs, and 1 HDMI output. There are coaxial and optical digital inputs. You can also connect 2 subwoofers, 2 USB devices, and 1 phone.

Setup

The manual is pretty short and not as clear as it should be so it might take you some time to align it with your home cinema. It will also take you some time to make sure it works with all the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices. I haven’t experienced but some customers reported Bluetooth and music subscription services issue. So be careful and take your time aligning and setting up everything.

Conclusion

Pioneer VSX-932 specs are pretty amazing for the price and the rating is really good meaning that the receiver is actually of good quality.

Plus there are many amazing modern features that you can only find in high-end AV receivers. So my verdict is that you should definitely get it. Usually, cheaper receivers only have some basic features and are generally super boring and simple.

But Pioneer VSX-932 has all the modern advanced features for a humble price of $298. The value for money is just amazing and Pioneer has left all competitors far behind.
