The Yamaha RX-V379BL 5.1-Channel A/V Receiver is a classic example of the, seemingly, eternal Yamaha A/V receiver line. It is a home theater receiver which supports Bluetooth for wireless music playback, 4K Ultra HD video with HDCP 2.2 compatibility and a discrete 5.1-channel amplifier design. As my Yamaha RX-V379BL review, I can say that it is working great and sounds awesome. Has a really cool feature that allows you to balance speakers with each other to optimize the sound (it includes a little microphone you can place in your favorite listening location to tune the system up).
The receiver will look pretty stylish in an apartment or home. But the design itself is quite standard in the form of a black box with a polished surface.
Even when it is impossible to install surround speakers behind the listening position, you will enjoy virtual 5-channel surround sound with all of the speakers placed in the front of the room. Extra Bass exclusive low-range enhancement technology delivers richer bass than you would expect from the speaker size while maintaining good localization and sound balance even with compact front speakers.
The device shows good performance even with budget audio systems. This does everything it's supposed to and it does it well. I haven't had any problems with it.
As far as the sound goes it sounds as good as you'd expect with a ~$200 receiver. Voices are clear and easy to bring to the front in case you can't hear them and everything else goes through very well.
According to Yamaha RX-V379BL specs, it supports Bluetooth for wireless music playback.
The receiver is very easy to setup and has a comfortable instruction manual. So you will not have any problems to start to use this device.
I would recommend this to anyone who is not in need of a high-end piece of equipment but needs the features to take advantage of 4K and high def audio formats. This is a home theater receiver that supports Bluetooth for wireless music playback, 4K Ultra HD video with HDCP 2.2 compatibility and a discrete 5.1-channel amplifier design. This AV receiver provides YPAO that automatically calibrates your listening environment for optimal sound performance. The Yamaha RX-V379BL is a great entry level receiver, with all the many virtues that have made Yamaha a standard go-to choice for home theater for what seems like forever. Overall though this is a very quality product with excellent features!
