Design

Marantz AV8805 has a dark matte body. The front panel has only 2 large knobs: “source selection” (left) and “volume level” (right), a small round display and a power button. Under the removable panel, all control buttons, an additional display, USB port, and HDMI-in are hidden. A huge number of hook up ports occupies the back panel: 7 HDMI second generation inputs and 3 outputs, 56 analog ports with different functions and purposes, as well as 17 XLR ports, provide the AV8805 with ample connectivity.

Characteristics

The AV8805 is reconcilable with the HEOS system to make a wireless audio system and supports streaming music through many platforms: Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud, etc. Besides, to obtain good sound with specific hardware, the Marantz AV8805 has the Audyssey MultEQ acoustics calibration system to ensure optimal equilibrium for the home multimedia system. The receiver is appointed with unique Marantz hyper-dynamic amplifier modules (HDAM) - absolutely in all channels, which permit to the receiver works with sound at a professional level.

The receiver can work with 3D sound formats, such as Dolby Atmos (7.1.6 or 9.1.4 modes), DTS: X, and Auro-3D (13.1 mode) thanks to a 32-bit stereo central audio processor - AK4490 premium class processor, which works on all channels. The AV8805 onward strengthened the quality of a sound by accurately treating all signals with Marantz HDAM modules with an amperage feedback topology, before transferring them to the XLR or RCA outputs and external power amplifiers. Thanks to the modern audio technologies, the receiver create deep and realistic sound with immersive effect of viewer / listener. The device produces a clear and crisp sound, where voices and background sounds are clearly audible, but without mixing with each other.

Connectivity

The Marantz AV8805 is appointed with a wireless audio system, allowing users to create seamless audio systems for the whole house. The receiver also has wide Internet connectivity: support an Ethernet port and Wi-Fi with 2.4 GHz/ 5 GHz dual band.

Setup

Installation, configuration, and management are easy with the Setup Assistant and the Marantz AVR Remote application. Thanks to the wide connectivity options, the Marantz AV8805 is reconcilable with most home and professional equipment.
