Sony XBR55X930E’s motion and low input lag are great for watching and gaming. The dark and bright room performance has no issue. The grays are just decent, but the evenness of colors on-screen is nevertheless good for watching sports.

Sony XBR55X900F has excellent gray uniformity. Its direct backlight together with the local dimming provide better blacks, but light blooming is visible. Both daytime and nighttime viewing experience are good, although a picture is a bit too bright at night.

Both TVs don’t support 3D tech. Sony XBR55X930E is very powerful due to its enhanced processor that also can analyze the TV noise to adapt 4K sources for native screen resolution. The TVs sound is also great due to the new Triluminos tech – it has crisp highs and defined lows.

You can calibrate Sony XBR55X900F after installation according to your liking. The recent software update provides Dolby Vision support for the best content clarity. The TV has no “dirty screen effect” that allows watching fast sports with the greatest comfort.

Design & Build quality

Sony XBR55X930E looks stylish in its minimalistic design and a stable center stand made of metal. Its cable management is neat because everything is covered with a plastic lid. The TV is thin to mount it closer to the wall and its metal borders are very thin too. However, the TV is very heavy.

Sony XBR55X900F’s cable management is basic without routing through the rear panel. The stand allows installing a soundbar between them. The TV has an average thickness and a solid building despite the plastic elements.
