Samsung 40NU7100 vs Samsung UN40MU6290: Equalize Modern Technologies

I want to compare the Samsung 40NU7100 vs Samsung UN40MU6290 and find out the difference between these popular models. The first one was presented in the 2018 year and belongs to the NU7100 series. All such devices have PurColor technology and very slim design. The second one appeared on the market in the 2017 year and is a representative of a MU6290 series. It has an incredible fluid motion and UHD Resolution. Both models belong to the medium price niche.
Picture
The 40NU7100 has a very solid contrast and greatly produces deep dark scenes. The Samsung 40NU7100 vs UN40MU6290 collation demonstrates that the first one has better gray uniformity and reflection handling than the second one. At the same time, I definitely like the UN40MU6290 presets for different picture modes. The Dynamic mode is the most universal and reflects the real colors.
Both models support popular streaming services, but the UN40MU6290 starts the HBO only after a few launch attempts. On the 40NU7100 I can easily run HBO, Hulu, Netflix, etc. The mentioned TV doesn’t have a Bluetooth, so I can’t use Bluetooth audio streaming, unlike the UN40MU6290. The 40NU7100 versus UN40MU6290 Wi-Fi simile shows that the first model has much better Wi-Fi coverage area and the signal is stronger than in the second.
Design & Build quality
The Samsung 40NU7100 has plastic legs that look reliable but have a strange smell. They are wide enough to fit a soundbar in a front part. The UN40MU6290 is supplemented by the small footprint, thanks to which I can easily reach the side inputs. The 40NU7100 borders (0.55") are thinner than UN40MU6290 (0.67"). The Samsung UN40MU6290 vs 40NU7100 build quality comparison shows that these TVs don’t produce creaks and each detail is made on a high level.
Samsung 40NU7100 Pros & Cons
- I can plug memory into the USB and use the TV for timed recordings.
- There are no glares on the screen (even when I placed the TV next to the window).
- The default setting Auto Motion creates the erratic movement of the objects.
- There is no Samsung Smart remote. The ability to use my phone helps, but it would be nice to have a specific remote.
Samsung UN40MU6290 Pros & Cons
- The TV has an amazing input lag for gamers or for use as a PC monitor.
- The 3 HDMI hookups work fine and they are enough for everyday usage.
- The image quality changes depending on the viewing angle.
- While a satellite watching the sound becomes very low. I have to regulate it with the help of a remote controller.
