To know more about Sony HT-X9000F vs Yamaha YAS-207 features, we should go and see that both speakers have the same Built-in channels of 2.1. Also, both units shared the identical Supported channel quantity of 2.1.
None of them have Built-in subwoofers, but they own the one Separate subwoofer (in the package).
The situation concerning Streaming services is rather different as Sony has Apple Music (AirPlay), Google Play Music, Amazon Music, Spotify and other streaming services like Chromecast, Pandora, TuneIn, Deezer. Versus Yamaha that has only Apple Music (AirPlay).
Voice control function, as well as Wifi, are absent in both speakers. However, there is Bluetooth.
The Sony HT-X9000F also takes the lead over the Yamaha YAS-207 in the fact that it has Multichannel surround (Dolby Atmos and DTS:X).
The Yamaha YAS-207 doesn’t do anything to shake up the world of soundbar design: it's simply a black bar with a rectangular subwoofer. If you blocked the Yamaha logo, there’s no telling who made this soundbar which might be good if you're looking to build a covert sound system but, for me, it's a bit generic.
On the front of the YAS-207, you’ll find touch controls for power, switching inputs and controlling volume. There are green indicator lights that show which input is currently active as well as the ability to act as a volume meter.
So the bar from Sony is a medium 93cm wide, but very low, less than 2-inches high (so it sits well below the bottom of the Sony screen) and pretty shallow too, around 85mm to the 33-inches wide back. The top is matte and mildly reflective, with five touch buttons and five lights to show status, though these face upward, so they may not be visible from a couch-sitting position.
You’re unlikely to need the touch buttons much, as the X9000F comes with a comprehensive half-size remote, and if you have the Sony TV you can use Bravia Sync to unite them under a single TV remote control, for volume at least. From the front, the bar looks stylish and complements the TV, with a silver base and a solid logo-free grille.
