The four satellites and the single center speaker give a punchy dynamic sound. Each satellite is lightweight and small, making them easy to mount. Plus, the setup of this 5.1 system was straightforward.
The construction and looks of the Monoprice speakers were the main let-down. Although the matte finish would easily hide fingerprint smudges and dust, the speakers seemed to have been made with poor-quality materials. Where the appearance failed, the sound quality impressed. Monoprice’s speakers produced terrific audio that sounded like it was coming from much bigger speakers. Dialogue was clear and naturally balanced without sounding boxy. Music was very dynamic and sounded so good that you would want to turn up the volume so that the sound engulfed you.
